Borrowing Library Materials

How do off-campus students borrow books from the HPU library?
After finding book citations in HPU's online catalog, off-campus students can contact the Off-Campus Library Services Department or fill out the online HPU Book Request form. If the requested books are available, they will be mailed to the off-campus site where they will be available for students to pick up. Books from HPU's library are assigned a loan period of three weeks from the day they are checked out. Students may request one renewal.

How are the borrowed materials returned?
Books are to be returned to the off-campus site where they were picked up. From there, a site staff member will mail the books back to the HPU library.

How do HPU's Interlibrary Loan policies affect off-campus students?
The library's general Interlibrary Loan policies apply to off-campus students in the same manner in which they apply to on-campus students with only a few differences. For example, books requested through ILL are shipped to your site instead of the HPU library. Also, off-campus patrons will need to allow a few extra days for delivery of materials.
